ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Bev Slough has received the endorsement of Florida’s 17th Lt. Governor, Jeff Kottkamp.
“Bev Slough is a true servant leader,” said former Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp. “Bev’s integrity and character are uncompromised and her service to community is unmatched. Florida needs Bev’s common sense, conservative leadership in Washington.”
Jeff Kottkamp served as Florida’s 17th Lieutenant Governor from 2007-2011. As Lieutenant Governor Jeff served as Chairman of Florida’s Children’s Cabinet, Chairman of Space Florida, Chairman of the Florida Sports Foundation and oversees the the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles as well as the Office of Drug Control. From 2000 to 2006 Jeff served in the Florida House of Representatives. During his three terms in the legislature Jeff fought for lower taxes, for a quality education for all children, and for tougher penalties for violent criminals.
Bev Slough currently serves as Chairman of the St. Johns County School Board. St. Johns County has been ranked the top school district in Florida for the past three years. Bev is also President of the First Coast United Way, Past President of both the Florida School Boards Association and EPIC Community Services, and an active member of the boards of St. Johns Education Foundation, PACT Prevention Coalition, Character Counts!, and JCP Cares.
Bev lives in St. Johns, Florida with her husband Wes, pastor of Switzerland Community Church. They have two daughters, Julie Simmons and Elizabeth Slough, and two grandchildren. Bev Slough has been endorsed by St. Augustine Police Chief Loran Lueders, St. Augustine City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline, St. Johns County Commissioners Mark Miner, Cyndi Stevenson, Ron Sanchez, Ken Bryan, and Jay Morris, St. Johns County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Joseph Joyner and St. Johns County School Board Members Tommy Allen, Bill Mignon, Bill Fehling, and Carla Wright.
